OCIA - Order of Christian Initiation for Adults

The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults is for people who have not received all of the Sacraments of Initiation (i.e. Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation). OCIA is designed so adults who have a desire to convert to our Catholic Faith can learn more about the richness of Catholicism from someone equipped to answer any questions, assuage any doubts, and help in the discernment process. 

You are eligible for OCIA if you:

• have never been baptized 
• were baptized in another Christian denomination and are interested in converting 
• were baptized in the Catholic faith but have not received any/only some of the other Sacraments (i.e. First Communion, Confirmation)

**The Catholic Church recognizes the validity of baptisms of other Christian denominations provided the Sacrament was celebrated validly and the formula, "In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" was used.
